Inexpensive DIY Ideas Using What You Have

marthastewart.com

Happy Tuesday! Here are some ideas from around the web where the main component of each project is something that most already have in their homes. I know yesterday's post was a DIY project too, so I'll move on to other decorating stuff tomorrow - promise. :-) Enjoy...

I love the no-sew embroidery idea from marthastewart.com at the beginning of this post. They used this technique on the bedskirt as well as the pillows. A great way to not only give a different look to your home decor, but think of all the different ways you could embellish items to give as gifts! Complete tutorial is on her site.

You know all of those miscellaneous clear glass vases, bowls, or whatever that you have stashed somewhere? Get Your Martha On shows you how to transform these into beautiful reproduction mercury glass accessories. The complete tutorial is available on her site.

I know that many of you have seen this but since I'm sure that some of you haven't, I wanted to share it. Lindsay at Living with Lindsay made this great wreath out of old book pages. Complete tutorial available on her site

Kimba at ASPTL graciously allowed me to share this fall centerpiece that she created using only items she already had at home (for a post that she did for InCourage). See how she did it HERE.

Have an awesome day!
